I have been telling you all about wu yi tea and its remarkable health benefits and weight loss capabilities. Wu yi (also known as oolong) tea can help, and I highly recommend it, but you need diet and exercise if you want to look and feel fantastic. I am excited to share with you a diet meal plan that I follow regularly to stay fit and healthy.
First, I will explain what goes into a great wu yi tea weight loss plan. In the next blog post, I will get down to the specifics. By learning the how’s and why’s to a good weight loss plan, you will begin to understand how to create your own healthy diet so that you will continue to lose weight and keep the weight off!
I try to stick with eating foods that are nutritionally dense, satisfying and practical. I choose those items that will offer me an abundance of nutrients, yet with less cost to the daily calorie budget. In addition, I incorporate my wu yi tea in a number of ways including a lovely mid afternoon sweet treat!
I know you might be concerned that you cannot do this because you do not enjoy healthy foods like whole grains and veggies. The secret to success with eating healthy foods is to know how to flavor these foods!
The following flavorings are virtually zero calorie natural alternatives for flavoring food: pepper sauces, vinegars, Dijon mustards (no honey Dijon’s!), onions, garlic, and tomatoes. In order to lose weight, it is highly important that you consume plenty of fiber found in grains and veggies. Fiber is very important for weight loss.
Another key in weight loss is to eat your breakfast. Studies show that people who eat breakfast (a healthy one!) are healthier and trimmer than those who do not. I used to think that I did not have time for breakfast, but I made time and you have to as well!
When I made time for a healthy breakfast, I lost 5 pounds of weight that very first week! I simply set my alarm clock 15 minutes earlier and took the time to eat a healthful breakfast and sip on a mug of oolong tea! Your metabolism will be higher and you will be able to burn more calories throughout the day.
You should drink wu yi tea throughout the day, whether that is hot or iced. I take my wu yi tea in a traveling mug. Keep a pitcher of wu yi tea (flavored with fresh lemon juice or other herbal teas if you would like) in the refrigerator for convenience.
The tea counts as part of your daily water intake and staying hydrated is important if you want to lose weight, so drink up! If you are sensitive to caffeine, switch to decaf oolong tea in the afternoon.
Stop thinking that if you go without meals, that you will lose weight faster. No! You need to eat throughout the day in order to boost your metabolism and lose body fat, or you will merely lose lean body mass. Eat smaller, healthy meals and snacks throughout the day.
I cannot tell you how much easier weight loss is if you plan and prepare in advance. You are going to want to stock your kitchen with plenty of fresh, prepared veggies such as spring greens and assorted, colorful veggies. Purchase a variety of zero-calorie flavors and try keeping plenty of lean protein choices on hand in the freezer such as chicken or turkey breast. Keep canned tuna (water-packed) in the pantry.
Prepare extra lean protein at your evening meal to use the next day in your wu yi tea meal plan!
