In simple words, conservation is said to be the planned management of natural resources. But the deep meaning of the term involves much more than just the economics. Teddy Roosevelt came into picture around 40 years later. He played a very significant role in conservation. During his term, he got the U.S. National Park System enlarged and worked towards the establishment of U.S. Forest Service too. We will not be doing justice if we don’t mention another prominent supporter of the cause, John Muir. He was the founder of Sierra Club and was very actively involved in making people aware of the importance of conservation. He even went with Roosevelt to Yosemite in 1903. This trip convinced Roosevelt that lands like those needed protection that can be done with federal control and management.

The country faces other problems besides Conservation. The development has caused damage to the protected parts of the world also where more than the three-fourth of the world’s species live. Poor management has also led to its deterioration. The famous conservationist, Dr. Kenton Miller encourages making more park rangers in order to make survival in these areas better. He says that the park rangers work in the forefront together with many others like the scientists, the visitors, and member of local communities, and they are going to play a prominent role in designing the future of our ecosystem and our heritage.
